Kiwengwa Medical Clinic
The Kiwengwa Health Clinic began as a vision by Dr. Rashid for the Zanzibar community. Hangaya committed to supporting this dream, with construction beginning in February 2022.
It now serves the community with modern equipment including ultrasound, a defibrillator, and a state-of-the-art laboratory, plus an observation room for short-stay care.

February 2022
Construction Begins
Hangaya commits to Dr. Rashid’s vision for a community health clinic and breaks ground in Kiwengwa.
May 2024
Construction Completed
The clinic building is finished and fully equipped with a laboratory, ultrasound, pharmacy, medicines, computers, Wi-Fi, diagnostic technology, medical supplies, and beds.
February 2025
Soft Opening
All systems are made operational and the clinic opens its doors informally to begin serving the community.
December 2025
Official Opening
The clinic officially opens, now serving the community with an ultrasound, defibrillator, state-of-the-art laboratory, and an observation room for short-stay care.
