Hangaya began with a clear purpose: turning waste into renewable energy and advancing circular economy solutions in Zanzibar. That foundation remains central to who we are. Over time, we built a skilled local team of contractors and project managers, which allowed us to expand into high-quality residential and commercial construction, with a particular emphasis on landscape design, implementation, and maintenance guided by certified permaculture principles.

Today we deliver complete solutions — from regenerative landscape design and construction through to circular energy and economy systems.
